Why it's just an STL file

That's the point.

Most hydroponic systems are a product: a company makes it, ships it, and owns it from then on. Break a part and you're ordering from them. Want to add a level and they've stopped making it? You're stuck.

This one is files. You print it on a machine you already own, from plastic you buy at the store. Crack a section a year from now and reprint it in an evening. No supply chain, no parts bin, no company between you and your food. The tower is as durable as your printer, and you already have one.

Print notes

  • Material: PETG required for water-contact parts. It's biologically stable, which matters for a part living in water next to roots. PLA will eventually break down.
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • Walls: 4
  • Top/bottom shells: 8 or more layers
  • Infill: none. The walls and shells carry the strength.
  • Supports: none, except the base interconnect sleeves
  • Brim: not needed

Pump

For best results, use a pump rated at 800 GPH (3000 L/H).

Going further

Pair it with the Turing Hydro Smart Module (sold separately) for automated pH, EC, and nutrient dosing. Or run it completely manual. Either way, the food is yours.
